What is this site?

Langalot is a tool to help you learn a foreign language.

How's it going to do that?

Langalot provides many ways to help: You can look up words you don't know. You can study those words using an advanced learning algorithm that shows you a word just before you're going to forget it. You can also study sentences, which is a powerful way to learn vocabulary and grammar at the same time. You can write notes on Pages. If you don't know something, you can ask the other users on the site using the Q & A system. You can also send messages to other users and practice writing and reading in the language you're trying to learn.

How much does it cost?

It's free.

Why wasn't the word I looked up in the system?

We are working on getting more words into all the dictionaries, but some languages and translations are not complete. Langalot currently gets most of its words from wiktionaries and new words get automatically imported. Langalot users are adding words all the time as well.
